I agree hes better than any of us talking but its okay to have an opinion…. let me ask you this, If you had a family to feed and needed a conisistent breadwinner in the long run, would you want to rely on durrr or someone like say barry greenstein?
@BigSAK88 LOL. He lost 4 million last year, that’s because he lost about 5 million to isdur or whatever. If you look at the breakdowns, he was still up in NL. He lost mostly in PLO. You have to mix your range really well in med and high stake games, especially when you are that deep over t 250bb in this case($1000/$2000). Even in $1/$2 NL on stars or FT, you have to mix your game well to be a winning player. $1/$2 live players and micro online player really shouldn’t judge their games.

Not that it changes anything but phil couldve lost to 2 6 also, he was certain he had the best hand but it cost him dearly, LOL. Phils the better player, durrr had more luck
about 1 year ago
this is a load of bull. theres a considerable number of pots i see here on youtube that tom dwan wins on sheer luck
ivey didnt make a mistake, he made the right plays. the only hand that could be him was the one dwan was holding and the chances of that are insignificant
about 1 year ago
How the fuck is he lucky, did you watch this season, he lost a 500K + pot against antonius holding AA v KK all in pre, and fought back IMO he deserved that cooler for his determination he could of walked away but he didn’t. Dwan is an amazing player anyway end of.

I love how the announcers thought Antonius was wincing because of the pot, when he was actually just trying to stay awake.

dwan called and i dont know why … who knows what hes thinking but he made good on his investement

lmao yea that gave me a laugh, only way all the money doesnt go in is if they slow play the turn and river is scary, other than that money goes %10000000000000 of the time

Antonius LOL , sleepin’
Oh and lol at the commentators speculating whether ivey was going to fold to dwan’s raise on the turn or not.
LOL
Of course dwan would be THAT lucky again. Wtf is up with that? So lucky!
Again,
Only with tom dwan holding 67 would that 4 hit on the turn. LMFAO.
For any durrrr lovers here, i am not hating at all! I am just saying this man is lucky at the most crucial moments,

i didnt notice the button was on dwan but yea even though i understand the notion of floating but dwan does this tooooo much and i mean tooooo much… hes making mad money playing this aggressive but can also go on bad runs and go broke… he lost 5 mil in 09 i think neways hes exciting to watch but i just dont think his game is a CONSISTENT recipe for success… i think ivey calculates his aggression much better and thats the difference between them

it is very hard to understand why someone would want to sit at a poker table with $500,000 and bet it all on one hand. baffling. i play 2/4 and 3/6 limit stud and some NL tourneys. i sit with $66 or $88 . double it and leave or lose it and leave. i cant stomach anymore than that and im a winning player lol.
Dwan, amazing. you are sitting there with the nuts on the turn and shuffling chips and sizing up your opponent like your not sure if you should call raise etc. id be shaking like a fkin leaf.
wow … never having seen such a look in ivey’s face when durrr put in his black chips for the call …
dudes, this is no place for abc-poker like we do in $0,25/$0,50 … this is something we will NEVER beeing able to understand …
about 1 year ago
@BigSAK88 Do you know what position is? Dwan has position on Ivey, he acts last. He can float there because Ivey has huge c-betting range. Moreover, they were really really deep, Durrr has 4 outs as well.
How is that a suckout? They BOTH made their hands (straights) with that 4. Ivey should have known Durrrr love suited connectors.
he called on the flop with a gutshot and at best middle pair. Wtf is he thinking he’s against? 90%+ of the time he’d lose that hand unless he hit his gutshot. He called a 40000 dollar bet on a gutshot. Bad play is bad. He sucked out, period.
Actually durr is in position soo uhhmm yeah….
And it wasnt a donk call this is pretty much heads up and 76s is a good hand preflop and its a good traping hand heads up so yeah…. his call on the flop was pretty standard cus theres a very low percentage that phil had a jack and he had 10 outs that could beat the other 2 cards and his hand could of improved on the turn (and he got the nuts on the turn) he doesnt loose much money with a call here and a fold on the turn but makes alot if he hits
about 1 year ago
i aint hatin but that was such a donk call after the flop by dwan, I understand he might of floated it but out of position against phil ivey?!!!
